Here's A Question (or 2)...

Why did Jesus come to earth? What was his mission/message?

Explain in your own words as simply or as complex as you'd like.

If you need inspiration, imagine that a friend whose name you wrote on the stage or on an acoustic panel is asking you this question.

Wow Fred, you sure know how to get the mind rolling mid-week! Fortunately for anyone reading this blog I'm not feeling complex today because I could ramble with this one.

My take on it is that Jesus came to earth to personify the father, to join us in our pain and struggle, to forgive us and pay for our sins. In doing so He also showed us how to serve others and how to follow the will of God even when it was difficult, among other things.

I tend to think of Jesus as coming to reconcile us with God and his creation.

Something's been wrong since sin first entered the world - and Jesus through his sacrifice and his teachings seeks to overwrite the stuff that's wrong.
