Wow Fred, you sure know how to get the mind rolling mid-week! Fortunately for anyone reading this blog I'm not feeling complex today because I could ramble with this one.
My take on it is that Jesus came to earth to personify the father, to join us in our pain and struggle, to forgive us and pay for our sins. In doing so He also showed us how to serve others and how to follow the will of God even when it was difficult, among other things.
I tend to think of Jesus as coming to reconcile us with God and his creation.
Something's been wrong since sin first entered the world - and Jesus through his sacrifice and his teachings seeks to overwrite the stuff that's wrong.
We like to think of our weekend messages as conversations- with a couple of limitations: 1. We've only got 20-30 minutes together. 2. One person does most of the talking while 1000 people listen.
This blog is a spot where we can stretch both those limits. So stop in regularly and contribute your insights and questions.
